Clinical Trials

VIDA Dermatology participates in cutting-edge Clinical Trials and dermatological research to try to help improve the quality of life for people afflicted with certain skin conditions, or gain insight into potential new therapies.

Clinical trials are only conducted once they have received approval from a Canadian ethics committee and therapeutic progress is monitored at regularly scheduled intervals under the direction of our certified Dermatologists.

How do I get involved in Clinical Trials?

If you live in Edmonton area and are affected by a skin condition that our Dermatologists are researching, you can reach out to our Research Department to schedule an assessment. If you agree to participate in a clinical trial, you will be having appointments at our clinic, taking prescribed medication, and sometimes answering questions about your health at home.

Vijeth Castelino: "I participated in a research study at VIDA Dermatology for my eczema. My experience during the research study was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and took time to educate me on the medication. For every appointment, they were flexible and very efficient. The medication I was given for my eczema was highly effective for my severe exczema, truly life changing! Overall, my experience at Vida was positive and I was compensated fairly for my participation in the trial."
