Granuloma Annulare

Granuloma annulare is a raised, bumpy or ring-shaped lesion that may occur singly or in groups on the skin that is more common in children and young adults. However, this skin condition can affect people of all ages and it is twice as common in women as it is in men.

What Does it Look Like

It is typically skin-coloured, red, or purple that is most often on an isolated area of the body. However, it may appear as several “bumps” spread all over the body. It is often seen on the tops of the hands and feet, elbows, and knees. At first, it starts to look like a round, firm, smooth, bump that becomes a circular ring with a clear center; similar to the shape of a doughnut.

*However, it is important to note that there are several different appearances of this condition that our team is well familiar with.
