According to Alberta Health guidelines, to be seen by our dermatologist for any medical skin condition covered by Alberta Healthcare, patients must have a referral from a licensed Canadian physician (i.e. Family Physician).

Once our office has received a referral, our referral coordinator will triage your referral based on urgency and book accordingly. When your appointment is booked, you will be contacted by our office with your appointment information. If we do not receive a referral from your physician, you will not obtain an appointment. If you have received an appointment we ask that you call our office to confirm your appointment.

NOTE: For cosmetic concerns such as skincare, injectables, laser hair removal, tattoo removal, sun damage, texture, fine lines and wrinkles, and skin tightening, body contouring, a referral is not necessary. However, you will be assessed by our team to ensure you meet criteria for safety and so we may align the proper treatments according to your specific profile.
